Wilson Insurance Agency was formed in 1976 when Bob Wilson purchased Wally Chesshire Agency in Shenandoah, Iowa. In 1983, Bob moved the business to its current location at 110 N Elm Street. As the business grew, Bob purchased Essex Insurance, Blackmon Insurance and Teget Insurance and his wife, Sharon, joined the agency part time. Bob always had a strong sense of customer service and treated customers like family, which carries through as a top priority today.
The agency is licensed in Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Colorado, Texas and Arizona and offers commercial, home and auto, crop and farm, life and health insurance. As an independent insurance agency, Wilson Insurance Agency has the ability to gather information from over a dozen insurance companies to provide the best coverage and affordable rates for their customers.
Thus, "The Insurance Store, " has always prided themselves on quality customer service. Bob retired in 2014 when he sold the business to main agent Brian Steinkuehler and daughter Stephanie Osborn.
