Dave Carbaugh-State Farm Insurance Agent

Local boy comes home! After graduating high school from Red Oak in 1991, my future wife Leslie and I moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Spending the first few years trying to decide what I wanted to do when I grew up, I landed at the Nebraska Humane Society as the Director of Operations. In 2006, after 10+ years in the animal world, I decided to make a career change and start an insurance agency.

I had family members that I had a great deal of respect for that were in the insurance industry and thought that insurance was something I would also enjoy. I spent the next 9 years building a very successful insurance agency in Omaha. With aging grandparents/parents and two children (Emily and Elizabeth) in school, Leslie and I decided it was time that we moved home.

So in 2013 we sold our home and our agency in Omaha and moved to a family acreage North of Red Oak. I continued working as an independent insurance agent until I received a call from the local State Farm agent, Barb Ray. Barb had been the State Farm agent in Red Oak for over 30 years and wanted me to consider interviewing for the position.
