The Golden Agency
We are only accepting new clients for those entering or already on Medicare at the present time. The Golden Agency is owned and operated by Michael Golden, a licensed health and life insurance agent located in Florida. We are also licensed in California, Georgia, and North Carolina. Since 2006 we have helped Individuals, Families, Small Businesses and Medicare beneficiaries save over $5,000,000 in health insurance premiums while providing professional, expert advice and the highest levels of support.

Health insurance has become one of the most confusing aspects of our daily lives and there has never been a better time to seek the advice of an expert. There is never a fee for our services and you will always receive the lowest rate available for the plan selected. There is a wealth of information on this website but we are always available to answer your questions.
Services
While Medicare is an excellent program and offers comprehensive health benefits it has many gaps in coverage that could result in significant out of pocket costs for hospitalizations, surgery, and expensive outpatient services such as radiation, chemotherapy, and advanced imaging.
That's why most people decide to add supplemental benefits to eliminate or control these potential costs.
Fortunately there are licensed, certified professionals like myself who have many years of training and experience that are able to not only explain how these important benefits work but also help Medicare Beneficiaries make the right choices for their supplemental benefits.
Part B is referred to as medical insurance.
It covers additional services and supplies needed to treat medical conditions as well as some preventative services.
You pay a monthly premium for Part B.
Medicare Parts A and B comprise what is referred to as Original Medicare.
Expect Original Medicare to cover about 50% of your total health care expenses; primarily medically necessary services and preventative services.
To find out if a service is covered you can use the "is my test, item or service covered" feature on the Medicare website.
If you are like every other person turning 65, the answer is YES.
It seems confusing-and you will receive so much mail about all of the different plans it just makes it all that more difficult.
My name is Michael Golden.
I am an independent insurance agent that helps people with Medicare and Medicare Supplement benefits, and have been doing so since 2007.
I am also a Medicare Beneficiary (since 2012) so have the exact same concerns.
I specialize in educating my clients about the different parts of Medicare (A, B, C, and D) and how everything works together.
Medicare coverage is both confusing and has lots of gaps, that's why so many Medicare recipients add Medicare Supplements (also known as Medigap plans) to make sure they are protected.
Everything you would need to know about Medicare is in the book published annually, called 'Medicare and You'.
Medicare Supplements are standardized plans created by Medicare.
The most comprehensive plans are Plans F & G and, in most cases, these are the plans of choice for my clients (some prefer Plan N because of cost considerations).
Compare Plans, Look up Doctors, Check Prescription Drug Costs, and Self-Enroll in a Few Minutes!
Medicare Part C (also known as Medicare Advantage plans), is an alternative to Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) offered through private insurance companies with an annual contract with Medicare to offer these plans.
Medicare Advantage health plans (such as HMOs and PPOs) are legally required to offer at least the same benefits as Original Medicare, but can include additional coverage as well, such as routine vision or dental benefits, health wellness programs, or prescription drugs.
