Before you choose to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan which is also known as Part C (private Medicare Advantage or MA) let's review some important information.
For example, if you and a friend both have Medicare Part A and Part B, but live in different counties, your friend my be able to join a Medicare Advantage Plan that has a prescription drug benefit (MA-PD) with a $0 monthly premium.
The health of our eyes and mouths is no less important than that of the rest of our bodies.
But vision and dental insurance are often excluded from traditional health insurance.
While a health insurance plan can aid in the cost of a broken arm or a skin infection, a chipped tooth or fading eyesight is left up to dental and vision insurance.
There are separate, standalone plans for vision or dental benefits that can be used on top of a health insurance plan as a form of supplemental insurance.
There are even dental and vision insurance "packages" that offer benefits for both.
Medicare will pay its share of the Medicare-approved amount for covered health care costs.
A Medigap policy is different from a Medicare Advantage Plan.
Those plans are ways to get Medicare benefits, while a Medigap policy only supplements your Original Medicare benefits.
You pay the private insurance company a monthly Premium for your Medigap policy.
You pay this monthly premium in addition to the monthly Part B premium that you pay to Medicare.
A Medigap policy only covers one person.
If you and your spouse both want Medigap coverage, you'll each have to buy separate policies.
Medicare will pay part of the costs of prescription drug coverage for everyone who enrolls in a plan.
How much you pay will depend on which prescription drug plan you choose and whether or not you qualify for Extra Help which helps cover the costs of this coverage.
The average nationwide monthly premium for 2019 is $33.19, although plan costs vary depending on the plan you choose and where you live.
You will generally only want to choose a plan with low premiums if it also has the lowest overall cost per year, including the costs for the drugs you take.
When choosing a life insurance policy two of the main types of plans available are term life insurance and whole life insurance.
There are major differences between the two types of policies and this article will assist you with making the choice between term life insurance vs. whole life insurance.
Term life insurance policies tend to be the cheapest form of life insurance that can be acquired to provide a significant benefit on the death of an insured individual.
The actual costs vary based on the parameters set by the insurer, with factors like age, general health, and smoking playing a major role in determining the actual price.
