The founder of the Agency, Peter Loi Chang, started working as an agent in 1982 in San Francisco at a property and casualty insurance agency owned by Transamerica Insurance Corporation at that time.
In 1985 he started his own agency in Oakland under the name of Pleasant Insurance Agency. We are not aggressive agents. We understand that insurance is an often overlooked or misunderstood necessity in life and make it a priority to educate and inform our clients on the importance of being properly insured. Putting our clients first, we provide them with products that are right for them rather than what's profitable for us.
We do not believe that price and price alone should be the deciding factor in choosing an insurance company. The products, coverage, limits, and the reputation and integrity of the insuring company are all equally important and must meet the needs of the insured.
