Volunteer committee leaders provide the vital link between PIAVA/DC's professional staff in Richmond and more than 1,100 members throughout the Commonwealth and DC.
Through the backbone of its committee organization, PIAVA/DC has established itself as the authoritative voice representing professional insurance agents to state and federal legislative bodies, regulatory agencies, companies, the media and the general public.
PIAVA/DC has many active working committees, as well as other committees that meet as needed, such as Director Nominating and Officer Nominating committees.
Through the backbone of its committee organization, PIAVA/DC has established itself as the authoritative voice representing professional insurance agents to state and federal legislative bodies, regulatory agencies, companies, the media and the general public.
PIAVA/DC has many active working committees, as well as other committees that meet as needed, such as Director Nominating and Officer Nominating committees.

We have sent our staff to CIC, CISR, CPIA and new P&C Pre-Licensing classes as well as the annual convention.
Just this year, Lisa at the PIA was able to save us thousands of dollars on our Errors & Omissions insurance and provided expert explanations of the coverages offered.

Not only does PIA of VA & DC staff work closely with PIA National lobbyists to maintain an effective presence in the halls of Congress, but we provide a concerted member representation in state and federal regulatory affairs.
