Shirley Ray, who the brothers had hired in 1970 to be a policy typist, became part-owner upon Grover's retirement in 1986, and then sole owner when Louis retired just four years later.
Even though ownership changed, the name on the door remains Godwin Insurance Agency to honor the hard-earned legacy of trust and integrity that we have become known for in the Triad area.
