State Farm Insurance

I was born and raised in Gunnison. After graduating from Gunnison High School. I spent two years at the New Mexico Military Institute where I received an Associate's degree in business. I finished my Bachelor's degree in business management at Metro State University in Denver in 2008. I also played varsity baseball for 4 years. I had been working in the financial industry since my graduation from Metro.

I opened my first State Farm office in 2018. My wife Kimberly and I live in Gunnison with our two dogs, Phillip and Max; two cats, Kevin and Melissa and a turtle named Turtle. We enjoy many outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, hunting and golf. Being involved in my community is very important to me, so I also volunteer for the local fire department.

I would love to get my private pilot's license one day. I love Basalt because it's a small community with a big heart and I plan to raise my family here someday. Kimberly and I just welcomed into the world our baby girl, Kennedy Sue Klingsmith!
