Whole Health
We are so glad you are here. We know what it feels like to feel confused, stuck, alone, uncertain, frustrated and in need of answers. Our counselors and practitioners offer authentic caring and evidence-based practices to find solutions. We believe in your power to live your best life and we are ready to engage with you to get there. Whole Health believes we are all more than labels and diagnoses.

Just imagine what might happen when we spend as much time working on cultivating more of what good is in us rather than becoming the definition of what is wrong. We certainly understand that healing often requires sitting with a problem for a while and we do not want to minimize the necessity of that work. We ALSO know that healing requires developing something new.

Whole Health is a place where you can do both. We are an insurance-friendly group with practitioners who offer flexible treatment and appointment times. We offer multiple treatment options to include traditional talk therapy, career counseling and EMDR.
Services
Working with a therapist is an opportunity for change and to gain insight into your life.
Individual psychotherapy is a partnership between you and the clinician.
It is an opportunity to explore and identify positive changes to heal old wounds and to develop a satisfying life.
Therapy can help confront barriers that interfere with emotional and mental well-being, and it can also increase positive feelings.
At Whole Health we aim to create a non-judgmental environment of acceptance and compassion to encourage increased satisfaction with your life.
Almost everyone has experienced some sort of trauma in their lifetime.
This trauma can be the obvious life threatening events, assaults, combat and first responder calls.
This trauma can also be less obvious, but equally significant.
Perhaps you have experienced a betrayal, lost a loved one, felt humiliated, worthless, overly responsible, defective or out of control.
These events and emotions are also traumatic and can leave strong negative emotions and beliefs about oneself and the world.
Our brains have a natural system to resolve trauma, but sometimes the processing needs help.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Deb Walsh is trained to help people live the professional, social and emotional lives of their choosing.
Deb believes that each of us has incredible potential and that each of us is our own best expert.
The role of the therapist then is to walk with folks and empower them to explore their own emotional, psychological and social world.
Deb is gifted at providing perspective and encouragement along that journey.
It is Deb's additional graduate training and Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling that allows her to offer a unique skill set in the therapy environment.
I am no stranger to change and challenge.
Born with a congenital heart defect, three open heart surgeries in my life have provided perspective on challenge, resilience and the power of the human connection in growth and change.
I have lived in Bluffton for over 15 years, with my husband Mike and my dog Lacey.
I find that time for relaxation and "me" time can do wonders for the body and soul.
My favorite ways to do that include biking, paddling my kayak about our beautiful waterways, attending a yoga class, or spending time at the beach with a good book.
I believe you can change what needs changing.
I believe you have precious value.
I believe joy is ALWAYS possible.
I believe "negative" emotions are ok and are part of life.
I believe in as many chances as you need.
I believe who you are is enough.
I believe you deserve love from others and yourself.
I believe there are other choices if you are willing to see them.
I believe that happiness is inside of you right now and not when you lose the 5 pounds, get the perfect job, or find the love of your life.
