Peoria has been my hometown my entire life! I grew up here, graduated from Peoria High, went to Western Illinois University and received my MBA from ISU. I married my high school sweetheart, Amanda, in 2003 and we are happy to raise our son Alex close to family and lifelong friends. I'm passionate about helping our community be all it can be and am involved throughout the area.
I currently serve on the boards of George Washington Carver Community Center, Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, Illinois Central College Foundation, Midwest Food Bank Advisory and Unity Point of Central Illinois Foundation. I also spend Wednesday evenings mentoring young men with the 100 Black Men of Central Illinois, a local chapter of the 100 Black Men of America.
When I have free time, I enjoy morning runs with our family dog, watching our son's sporting events and singing (often in the shower). After an 18 year leadership career with State Farm on the corporate side, I am living my dream of being a State Farm Agent.
