Health insurance is one of the most costly benefits a company can offer. From fully funded to self funded, from HSAs to HRAs, HMO's, POS's and PPO's, sometimes it can be quite confusing. My approach to helping an employer find the right plan is by getting to know the company, the employee's and their health care needs. Now is the time to enroll in an individual health insurance plan on or off the Marketplace.
Depending on your income, you may qualify for an advanced premium tax credit which can help pay part of your health insurance premium. You or anyone in your household lost qualifying health coverage in the past 60 days or you expect anyone in your household to lose coverage in the next 60 days. Are a member of a federally recognized tribe, or an Alaska Native corporation shareholder.
If you are not currently enrolled in Medicare but will be turning 65 "you have three months before, the month of, or three months after to elect a Medicare Advantage plan." Should you wish to enroll in a medicare supplement plan you have six months from the first day of the month in which you are 65 or older and enrolled in Medicare Part B.
