Thorne Insurance started in 1928 as an Independent Agency by Ben H. Thorne.
Ben wrote life insurance until the 1940s when he added property and casualty lines to his services.
He wrote insurance and owned the agency until 1957.
William Thorne (pictured left) continued to write life insurance along with the P & C lines.
William added the ability to insure commercial lines of insurance.
He wrote insurance and owned the agency until 1985, and has been a co-owner through 2005.
Rex A. Thorne joined the agency in 1985 and continued to write its existing lines.
