We are excited to share that Virginia Medical Plans has partnered with OneDigital, one of the nation's leading strategic advisory firms. We believe that through our alignment with OneDigital, a marquee brand with a national reach, we will be able to provide you with the innovative tools to stand out as an employer of choice and fuel your business for the future.

Most Americans* must have health insurance or pay a penalty - it's the law. Although the penalty for not having insurance was eliminated in 2019, the law still stands. If you live in DC, the penalty still stands as well! If you don't get health insurance through your employer, you can purchase coverage for yourself and/or your family on the individual health insurance market.

Ask us for details! At Virginia Medical Plans we take the time to educate you on your options. We also help you choose the best plan for your needs. Selecting a plan is about finding the right balance between coverage, cost, and access to care. When you work with Virginia Medical Plans, you get the benefit of our nearly three decades of experience.

Most Americans* must have health insurance or pay a penalty - it's the law.
Although the penalty for not having health insurance was eliminated in 2019, the law still stands!
And if you live in DC, the penalty is still in effect as well.
If you don't get health insurance through your employer, you can buy it for yourself and/or your family on the individual health insurance market.
Note - if you are self-employed or own a small business, ask us if a group health plan may be an option for you.
Depending on your income and the size of your household, you may be able to collect a subsidy to help you pay for your coverage.
If you are self-employed, securing good health insurance for you and/or your family can be a challenge.
The non-group / individual health insurance market has been tumultuous.
This has translated into less favorable options if you don't work for a company that offers you health insurance and you are not eligible for a subsidy based on income.
Small group health plans are Affordable Care Act compliant.
This means there is no medical underwriting, and they include all of the consumer protections mandated by law.
Dental insurance provides coverage for dental care.
Most dental plans cover things like regular checkups, cleanings, x-rays, and other preventive care.
Depending on the plan you choose, you may also be covered for oral surgery, orthodontia, or dental implants.
Choosing the right dental plan involves finding the balance between how much you pay for your coverage (your monthly premium), how much you pay when you actually receive care (your deductible, co-pay, and other out-of-pocket costs), and how you will access care (in-network vs. out-of-network care).
