Jack Valentine opened the Valentine Insurance Agency in 1964. He founded the Agency on the principle of honesty, integrity, respect and caring for others. In 1995 John Cochran purchased the Valentine Insurance Agency and continued doing business as The Cochran Insurance Group DBA Valentine Insurance Agency. John has continued serving the community with the same principles as Jack.

He came to Moberly in 1974 as a student at Moberly Area Community College.
After finishing his education at Missouri Southern State University and the University of Missouri, John came back to Moberly as a teacher and basketball coach at MACC.
After his five-year career as an educator, he worked in the business community as a risk manager and benefits specialist.
