Exceptional customer service and constant innovation have been hallmarks of our organization for four generations. The company that would become Silveus Insurance Group was formed 75 years ago during a time of great change. The country had just emerged from the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl, and was about to enter World War II. The nation faced an unprecedented demand for food from farms that were dealing with a shortage of labor, gas, and equipment.

Our clients, and the farm industry as a whole, responded by working harder and smarter. The following decade saw incredible advancements in machinery, crops, and pesticides. Silveus Crop Insurance was born into this era of innovation and in the decades since we have always pushed ourselves to be at the forefront of the advancements in farming; always developing and adapting our knowledge, our products & services, and our technology.
Services
From the beginning, our mission has been to enrich the lives of American farmers by helping them manage risk.
Soon after Congress authorized federal crop insurance in the 1930's, the first iteration of our company was born.
What began generations ago in one Indiana county has grown into that nation's leading private crop insurance agency.
Grover Sims was one of the first people to bring crop insurance, specifically hail insurance, to farmers.
Sims' son, Dick Silveus, carried on the business, as did his son, Steve Silveus.
To better visualize risk for our clients, we developed the industry's leading collaboration software.
Our agents seek to understand all risks and strategies in the process of assisting customers to make insurance decisions.
Our cohesive process across many business decisions gives producers an enterprise view of risk and opportunity, a competitive advantage, and peace of mind.
As input costs, projected yields, and each new layer of risk management strategy is analyzed, P & L projections change dramatically.
As a Silveus customer, we will show you how every insurance product works and how it can help you manage your risk with a visual risk matrix report.
This profit matrix helps you analyze options and make the best decision for your farm.
Our high level of expertise on understanding policy while incorporating the technology we use allows us to innovate the best policy choice for your farm.
With many of our partnerships, some of which have 80 plus years of experience, our products and technology are supported by an AM Best "A" Excellent Rating.
Craig Snow started at Silveus as an agent, and Scott and Cameron Silveus still manage a large number of clients.
Throughout the year, they are frequently at farms with their own clients and in support of agents.
This constant hands-on approach helps the team refine their methodology, develop new products, improve their software, and, in short, better serve the American farmer.
Craig Snow is the President and CEO of Cedar Holdings, Inc.
As the CEO for Cedar Holdings, Craig leads the owners of each company division in their strategic decisions and mentors them in their, respective, CEO roles.
Aaron earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Grace College located in Winona Lake, Indiana in May of 2004.

Woolman Financial Group specializes in financial planning for individuals and families.
During his internship, Aaron developed a strong passion for helping people understand the bigger financial picture.
