After earning a BS from LeMoyne College and serving in the U.S. Army, Peter went into the insurance business in 1954.
He first worked for the Insurance Company of North America, and then in 1963 Peter purchased a small insurance agency in Union Springs.
In 1968, Peter purchased the William "Ky" Young Agency, Inc., which was founded in 1929 as the Auburn Agency.
