Services
NOTE: The biggest single concern with having only Medicare and not another plan, is there is no maximum out of pocket with Medicare.
This Means you can lose tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars in co-pays!
Watch out for agents who push "no-name" B-rated companies that are known for big rate increases and STILL are higher priced than the A-rated companies to begin with.
Connect for Health Colorado is Colorado's official health insurance marketplace, and the only place to apply for financial help to reduce your monthly health insurance costs.
The financial help you can get through Connect for Health Colorado to lower your monthly payment is called a Premium Tax Credit.
Coloradans that qualify for financial help may also qualify for healthcare discounts, called cost-sharing reductions, that lower the amount you pay when you use your plan.
Healthcare discounts are only available on silver plans sold through Connect for Health Colorado.
If you earn too much to qualify for a subsidy and you find that you cannot afford health insurance on the marketplace, a OneShare policy may be a perfect alternative for you.
While OneShare works well for healthy people, if you are taking heart medications, have had cancer or have other serious health issues, you should stick with an ACA compliant health insurance plan, if at all possible.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA or ObamaCare) allowed certain non-profit Health Sharing Ministries to offer healthcare coverage to people that is not ACA compliant.
