Smart Home America is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Mobile, Alabama. We have advised communities, home, and business owners about the benefits of resilience, pre-disaster mitigation, and adequate insurance coverage for over a decade. To create stronger communities through collaboration, education, and the promotion of resilient and sustainable policies, products, and building methods.

To educate leaders, residents, and industry about smarter, safer buildings and tested policies, products, and techniques that build resilient and sustainable communities. We work in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Texas. Advocate for the use of beyond-code, resilient construction, and the enforcement of modern building codes.

Provide advice about how property mitigation can lower insurance costs and reduce the time and money needed to recover from natural disasters. Engage experts, service providers, residents, and community leaders to develop solutions and encourage action to make homes, businesses, and multifamily dwellings more durable.
