I will help you understand all your Medicare options so you can decide which is best for you. I will show you several plans to compare "apples-to-apples." I will explain all the costs and find you the lowest priced option to cover all your requirements. After you select the perfect plan, I will handle all the filing of the applications. I will ensure they are submitted within Medicare's guidelines and follow up with you once you're approved.

I am HIPPA compliant and securely store documents for at least 10 years. Medicare rules and rates change yearly. I dedicate at least 80+ hours per year to certification, training and education. This allows me to notify you when your plan is negatively affected so we can make new arrangements for a change in coverage. The main difference between myself and other "agents" is that Medicare insurance is all I do.

I have elected to make Medicare my only line of business. I'm local to Maryland (Annapolis) and cover the entire state, no matter where you live.

Since 2011, independent broker Peter Palmiotto has been involved with the Medicare Insurance industry and specializes in Medicare only.
Starting in San Diego, Peter successfully launched and operated San Diego Medicare Options until his family relocated to Maryland in 2018.
Realizing the same needs existed in Maryland, Peter decided to duplicate his brokerage firm here in Maryland, offering all types of Medicare plans.
Maryland Medicare Options is independent from any insurance companies, the federal government or the state of Maryland.
One of the Medicare options you have that is growing in popularity is the Medicare Advantage Plan, also known as Part C.
There is a lot of misinformation about these plans and are too often given a bad reputation by those that simply don't understand them, or simply can't sell them.
A Part C plan is a great alternative to Original Medicare and typically covers at least what Original Medicare does, plus some great extras.
Most plans have prescription drug coverage embedded into the plan, so you don't have to spend any more on a separate drug plan, and you simply carry around one insurance card rather than two or three.
See my free guide at the bottom to determine the best time to apply to Medicare.
This will affect your ability to obtain coverage from a Supplement Plan or Medicare Advantage Plan.
These types of senior medical plans are designed to help pay for costs that original Medicare does not.
Typically, Medicare only pays about 80% of your medical costs and you are responsible for the remaining 20%.
Most insurance plans have a built in stop-gap or what insurers call a "max-out-of-pocket."
This protects the customer against unlimited billing in a calendar year in the event of a catastrophic health event.
Medicare requires that Medicare eligible consumers have drug coverage, either through a Medicare approved insurance carrier, or other creditable coverage through an employer or union plan.
The creditable coverage must be as good as or better coverage than what Medicare offers.
If it is not, you will typically receive a letter from Medicare explaining your options.
If you don't obtain coverage, you will start accruing financial penalties.
Let Maryland Medicare Options help you find the right Rx plan based on your current medications.
There is a lot of misinformation about Medicare, and it takes years of experience to learn all the little rules and regulations.
I've put together some of the more common Medicare questions and answers for you.
