Services
Although we were officially formed in 1996, the McCamon-Hunt Insurance Agency has roots in the northeast Ohio that date as far back as 1939.
The company was formed in a merger that brought together the John S. McCamon Insurance Agency (founded in East Palestine, Ohio in 1939) and the Hunt Insurance Agency (founded in Canfield, Ohio in 1975).
We are driven by our desire to bring safety and security to Mahoning County residents and businesses.
Today, McCamon-Hunt is an independent insurance agency that enjoys relationships with a number of quality insurance companies.
Homeowner's insurance provides financial protection against disasters.
A standard policy insures your home and everything you keep in it.
Homeowner's insurance is a package policy, which covers both damage to your property and your liability or legal responsibility for any injuries or property damage you or members of your family cause to others.
This includes damage done by household pets.
Damage caused by most disasters is covered, but floods, earthquakes, and poor maintenance are not and require separate policies.
Auto insurance protects you against financial loss if you have an accident.
It is a contract between you and the insurance company.
You agree to pay the premium and the insurance company agrees to pay your losses as defined in your policy.
Auto insurance provides property, liability, and medical coverage.
Property coverage pays for damage to or theft of your car.
Liability pays for your legal responsibility for others injury or property damage.
Medical coverage pays for the cost of treating injuries, rehabilitation and sometimes lost wages.
Business and Commercial insurance protects businesses, owners, and employees.
Commercial insurance is designed to cover all areas of a business, from property to liability, to ensure that your company runs smoothly without worrying about the "what-ifs."
Simply put, Business and Commercial Insurance is here to help your company, and now is the time to find the coverage you need.
If you are a business owner, Commercial insurance is a must to protect against the unexpected.
There are many different types of coverage that can fit your business and its unique needs, such as property, crime, liability, commercial auto, workers compensation, business interruption, equipment breakdown, and even employee benefits.
To put it simply, surety bonds guarantee that specific tasks are fulfilled.
This is achieved by bringing three parties together in a mutual, legally binding contract.
The principal is the individual or business that purchases the bond to guarantee future work performance.
The obligee is the entity that requires the bond.
Obligees are typically government agencies working to regulate industries and reduce the likelihood of financial loss.
The surety is the insurance company that backs the bond.
The surety provides a line of credit in case the principal fails to fulfill the task.
