I started with State Farm a year after graduating college (Alaska Pacific University) in the homeowners claims department. I loved working claims because you get to help people in some really hard times when they need State Farm to step up and "keep the promise". I started the day after Hurricane Andrew hit Florida in 1992 so I immediately saw firsthand what kind of a company State Farm was by how we took care of our policyholders during a disaster.
That has always stayed with me-State Farm is the gold standard in the insurance industry when it comes to customer service and paying for what we owe. I decided to become an agent because I wanted to be able to help people in a little different way while also having flexibility to spend time with my family. As an agent I help people identify & insure what is important to them so if/when that unexpected event happens, they are protected.
I think one of my strengths is my willingness to engage with people, especially when it comes to talking about them & their dreams.
