Services
In 1928, two World War I aviators - Reed M. Chambers and David C. Beebe - saw the need for an insurance company that truly understood aviation.
His heroism earned him a number of citations during the Great War, including the Distinguished Service Cross with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the French Legion of Honor and the Croix de Guerre.
Through over 90 years of aviation insurance leadership, USAIG has provided private, corporate and commercial segments of the aerospace industry with the broad range of coverage required to ensure stability, progress and growth.
In 1928, our pilot founders developed a business structure that has withstood the test of time.
Today, more than nine decades later, their structure survives intact, still delivering unparalleled financial strength and stability, generating the capacity needed to properly insure any size aviation or aerospace exposure.
USAIG, the public face of our business, is neither a single insurance company nor a corporation.
It is a group, or pool, of individual insurance company members that collectively functions as a worldwide insurance market for all types of aviation and aerospace accounts.
United States Aircraft Insurance Group and Canadian Aircraft Insurance Group each comprise a pool of highly rated property casualty insurers.
United States Aviation Underwriters, a licensed New York agent, serves as manager for USAIG.
USAU's Canadian subsidiary manages the CAIG pool.
Every policy written through USAIG or CAIG uses capacity that is admitted in all 50 United States or throughout Canada.
Each member company must meet minimum ratings requirements - at least an "A" rating with either A.M. Best or Standard & Poor's and hold a required statutory surplus of $1 billion or greater.
When you bind a policy with USAIG through your licensed broker, you can be assured that we'll have you covered, whether you operate a single aircraft or manage a fleet of commercial airliners.
Our financial structure - we are an insurance pool composed of individually sound member companies - provides a rock-solid foundation delivering unparalleled strength and stability, generating the capacity needed to properly insure any size aviation or aerospace operation.
We offer a comprehensive range of coverages to serve virtually any aviation-related endeavor.
Every aviation operation needs to find a comfortable fit with its insurance provider - and that's especially true for airlines.
When you choose us as your preferred provider of airline insurance, you're not just buying coverage.
You are teaming up with a new partner.
We tailor our service to the exact level that meets your specific needs.
We can act as your claims department, handling all your passenger claims, serve as a behind-the-scenes adjunct to your claims department or create a custom arrangement just for you.
