To enroll in a Community Health Plan of Washington Medicaid or Medicare Advantage plan, you must be eligible and live in our Medicare service area (Adams, Benton, Chelan, Clark, Cowlitz, Douglas, Franklin, Grant, King, Kitsap, Lewis, Pierce, Okanogan, Skagit, Snohomish, Spokane, Thurston, Walla Walla, Whatcom, Yakima counties in Washington state) or Medicaid regions.This is not a complete description of benefits, please contact us for more information.

In 1992, Washington's community and migrant health centers (CHCs), created Community Health Plan of Washington to provide health insurance to people who were not being served by traditional insurance companies.
The Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW) network of 20 Community Health Centers operates more than 180 clinics across the state, working with more than 2,700 primary care providers and 14,700 specialists.

Medicaid is a federal program that provides health care for people whose income is below a certain amount.
Medicaid is called Apple Health in the State of Washington.
Medicare is a federal program.
Medicare provides health care to people 65 and over, as well as to people under 65 with specific disabilities.
CHPW is a not-for-profit health insurance plan.
We work with the state to offer health care plans to Apple Health and Medicare eligible recipients.
In the State of Washington, Medicaid is called Apple Health.
Medicaid is a federal and state government health coverage program available to individuals who meet the income and resource limits.
Apple Health provides coverage to individual adults, families and children, pregnant individuals, and individuals with disabilities.
