Mike began his Insurance Career in 1980 with Safeco Insurance Company in the Claims Department becoming the first "Claims Specialist" to be designated by the company.
In 1987 he left Safeco Insurance Company to re-establish his Professional Sales Career as an Account Executive with a local Independent Insurance Agency.
In 1992 he opened a start-up Independent Agency, Insurance Services of Washington, operating today under the leadership of his daughters.
Mike is very proud of the consistency and stability in his life; having been married to Margarita for 37 years, lived in the same house, they built, for 34 years and been in business together for 28 years.
