Atchue Insurance
Worcester-based Atchue Insurance has been helping clients just like you discover a whole new world of comprehensive insurance coverage for more than 35 years. Stop in or give us a call and find out exactly how far-reaching the benefits of a highly-experienced, locally-owned insurance broker can be for you. We are an independent insurance agency, focused entirely on you.

Our only goal is to streamline your protection plan, saving you money while closing gaps in your coverage. Our award-winning family of insurance professionals helps people and businesses in greater Worcester County and throughout Massachusetts live happier, safer lives with custom-tailored advice on the full spectrum of insurance options. You can buy an insurance policy anywhere.

At Atchue Insurance, though, we pride ourselves on providing not only competitive rates, but the professional experience and personal service necessary to earn and maintain your trust. If your home is left unoccupied for weeks or months at a time, your standard homeowners insurance policy might not provide coverage in the event of a claim.
Services
Born and raised in Worcester, Earl V. Atchue, Jr. graduated from Saint John's High School in Shrewsbury and Assumption College in Worcester.
He began his insurance career as an account representative for the former American Mutual Insurance Company of Boston in 1977 and spent five years with the company before leaving to establish his own independent insurance agency.
In 1982, Atchue Insurance Agency was born and opened its first "office" in Mr. Atchue's home in Worcester, employing at the time only a typewriter, telephone, answering machine and one filing cabinet.
With few exceptions, your home is one of life's most substantial investments and your most important asset.
Thus, you want to make sure to have the proper coverage to protect it.
A typical Homeowners insurance policy will pay for damage to your dwelling itself and other structures - such as a detached garage, shed or barn - caused by covered perils.
These perils include, but are not limited to, fire, lightning, hail, and tree damage.
The policy will cover temporary living expenses you incur in the event you cannot live in your home due to a covered claim.
There are 12 parts to the Massachusetts Auto Insurance Policy.
We submit that the least critical part of your Auto Insurance policy is the part that covers the car itself (collision and comprehensive; also known as physical damage coverage).
While damage to your car may certainly create a short-term inconvenience, consider the serious consequence and potential financial loss if you cause injury to another party and are subsequently sued for damages.
Over the years, we have witnessed the fear and apprehension of customers who rush to our office after being served Notice of Suit, hoping that they are adequately protected.
As a condo owner, it is critical to review and coordinate your 'Unit Owner' coverage with what is provided by your condo association's master insurance policy.
In most cases, an association's master policy will insure against the association's liability as well as damage to the property's common buildings and structures.
These typically include the exterior walls, roof, floors, and elevators, and miscellaneous exterior fixtures like sidewalk lamps.
As a condo owner, you are then left responsible for insuring items such as appliances, carpeting, cabinets, wall coverings, personal property in the unit, and any value-added alterations that you make to the unit at your own expense (for instance, installing a better-quality carpet or flooring than that which came with the unit).
So, you just got the keys to your new apartment.
You've called the moving company, the electric company, and the cable company, and you're all ready to settle in.
But once you've moved all your belongings, are you protected in case something happens to them?
If not, your next call should be to Atchue Insurance for a Renters Insurance policy.
Designed for anyone who rents an apartment, house, or condo, Renters Insurance provides property and liability coverage for a tenant much in the same way as Homeowners Insurance provides these coverages to a homeowner.
