Lambert Insurance Agency has been serving the insurance needs of Glenn County for nearly 90 years. Jim Lambert is the third generation of his family to run the historic agency in Willows. Jim's maternal grandfather, Harlow M. Plimpton, founded the business in 1918. It was then known as Plimpton Insurance and was located in the Freeman Building at 125 W. Sycamore Street.

Around 1950, Mr. Plimpton bought the F. M. Huddleston Agency in Artois, which had been appointed with the Hartford in 1922. Sometime later, Mr. Plimpton was joined by Jay Haslam as a partner. On Mr. Plimpton's death in 1954, Mr. Haslam continued the operation of the agency and moved the agency to the Tower Theater Building. In 1957 Mr. Plimpton's son-in-law, William Lambert took over the business from Mr. Haslam.

He changed the name to Lambert Insurance Agency and moved it back to the Freeman Building. In the 1960s, he bought the Knock Insurance Agency, increasing his agency's range of services. In 1974, the Redevelopment Agency bought the Freeman building and Lambert Insurance Agency moved to its current location at 305 N. Culver Avenue.
Services
Kerri Warren started her insurance career with Lambert Insurance Agency in February of 2004.
Having worked in the retail business for 20 years, she knows the importance of customer service and feels that it is the foundation to any successful business.
Kerri grew up in Willows and is now raising her family here, because she appreciates the personal relationships possible in a small town.
It is that feeling of personal service that she strives to achieve for the clients that come to the Lambert Insurance Agency office.
Louise Rollins began her insurance career in 1989, after working in banking.
At Tavernetti Insurance Agency in King City, CA, she worked first as a secretary, then obtained her property and casualty insurance license after only eight months.
Louise was primarily responsible for the personal lines insurance, with some experience in farm and crop insurance.
In 2001, Louise moved to Willows and took what she thought would be a temporary secretarial position at Barbara Swan Insurance.
As they were a staff of only two, she quickly moved into handling the personal lines business instead of secretarial duties.
A lifelong Willows resident, Kerri Chun started working for Lambert Insurance in 2004.
She has seven years of banking experience with Tri-Counties Bank, working mainly in Willows.
She joined Tri-Counties Bank while she was still in high school, through a Regional Occupational Program (ROP), and progressed from teller to Operations Officer.
While raising her family, she performed the bookkeeping duties for her family's long-established grocery business for over 15 years.
As Accounting Manager at Lambert Insurance Agency, Kerri is responsible for Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Payroll and all other accounting practices within the agency.
