It was here that he began to write insurance.
He later moved to Marietta, continuing his career as an insurance man.
In 1916, he purchased the agency of John Randolph Hearn and established Butler Insurance Agency in Madill.
The firm has been owned by the Butler family ever since.
His daughter, Effie Butler Jones, entered the firm in 1932.
In 1950, Frank's son-in-law, Winston Smith, entered the firm as a partner, until Bill bought out the partnership.
