Our New Providence, New Jersey firm's founding three partners-Daniel J. Pomeroy, Karen E. Heller, and John M. Daniel Pomeroy has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1982.
After graduating magna cum laude from St. Michael's College and with high honors from Seton Hall University School of Law, Mr. Pomeroy served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Clifford, Associate Justice, Supreme Court of New Jersey.
In 2012, he co-founded Pomeroy, Heller & Ley, LLC.
Mr. Pomeroy is a fellow in both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Foundation of the American Bar Association.
He is also past president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and past chairman of the New Jersey Defense Association Automobile Insurance Coverage Committee.
Karen E. Heller joined Mortenson and Pomeroy in 1996 and in 2012 co-founded Pomeroy, Heller & Ley.
She is an accomplished brief writer and is responsible for preparing many of the firm's written submissions in connection with appeals, trials, and substantive pre-trial motions in a variety of civil matters, including automobile and homeowners defense, insurance coverage matters, and medical malpractice cases.
She also has significant expertise in insurance coverage.
She has handled more than 75 appeals in the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the Appellate Division.
John M. Ley joined Mortenson and Pomeroy in 1997 and co-founded Pomeroy, Heller & Ley in 2012.
Mr. Ley has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1996.
After graduation from Rutgers College in 1991 and from the Saint Louis University School of Law, cum laude, in 1995, Mr. Ley served as law clerk to the Honorable Edward J. Toy, J.S.C. from 1996 through 1997.
Mr. Ley's litigation practice includes the defense of insurance companies in both Superior Court and through Forthright in litigation concerning Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits.
He concentrates his practice on the defense of automobile insureds, as well as the litigation of insurance coverage disputes.
Mr. DiGasbarro is skilled in all phases of pre-trial discovery and trial work, and has conducted many depositions and examinations under oath as well as trying Superior Court cases and uninsured motorists/underinsured motorists (UM/UIM) and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) arbitrations.
He speaks Italian.
Mr. DiGasbarro recently completed a week-long American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Trial College.
