Charlotte and Mike Miles founded The Sam Houston Insurance Agency in 1992. In April of 2008, Kenneth and Kristy Starr purchased the Agency and moved it from Conroe to Madisonville. Ken is a licensed adjuster and a property and casualty insurance agent who worked in construction for most of his life. Kristy is also a licensed property and casualty insurance agent who grew up in a family-owned construction business.
Motivated by the combined experience of business ownership, construction, and insurance claims, Ken and Kristy decided to bring a new level of service and integrity to the commercial insurance industry. Sarah Garrett is a licensed property and casualty insurance agent who brought her self-employment experience to the agency in October of 2008. Sarah began as an agent, but her agency position has transitioned to include agency management and accounting.
Dave Smith became a part of the team in 2016 and is also a licensed property and casualty insurance agent. Dave has over 10 years of customer service experience.
