DVA is a locally owned independent agency providing insurance solutions to metro Detroit for over 40 years. Being an Independent gives us the flexibility to work with a number of different insurance carriers to find the one that fits our clients situation the best. DVA as it stands now has been evolving since John Vandenbossche bought the original R. W. Davis Agency of then East Detroit in 1979.
For many of the early years of DVA there were just 2 people manning the shop on Gratiot, John and now partner in the agency, Lisa Anderson.
As the agency grew it had to find more room to house additional employees and it moved initially to Nine Mile, just east of Gratiot.
With the growth of DVA came acquisitions of additional agencies.
First was the Steinmetz Agency in Marine City that is now the Steinmetz-Vandenbossche Agency.
