This policy provides coverage for death or humane destruction resulting from all risks.
Coverage is usually provided on an annual basis and the horse must be sound and healthy at the inception of the policy period.
We are able to insure your horse the moment your ownership takes place, either at public auction or via the claiming ranks.
Often referred to as ASD coverage, this endorsement responds in the event your colt or stallion becomes totally and permanently infertile or impotent resulting from an accident, sickness or disease.
Coverage is usually provided on an annual basis and the horse must be sound and healthy at the inception of the policy period.

The National Horsemen's Benevolent & Protective Association (N.H.B.P.A) through StarNet Insurance Company (a Berkley Company) is a program for members of the H.B.P.A. to protect your assets in the event you are liable for bodily injury or damage to property arising from your equine activities, whether that be breeding, racing, sales or training.

Only members can participate in the N.H.B.P.A. Liability coverage for Owners & Trainers.
However, if you include a separate membership payment of $200 with your application, we can send it to the N.H.B.P.A. on your behalf to establish coverage.
Each rate is established by the total number of owned or trained horses, not just the horses going to certain tracks and facilities.
For new clients, the rates per horse depend on the date the policy becomes effective.
