When the opportunity to become a State Farm agent came into my life, we packed our bags for Spring, TX! Prior to becoming a State Farm agent, I worked in lending. Over 17 years, the financial services industry provided me with leadership and management opportunities in several states and at several levels.
I received on-the-job training on many aspects of business management. Designed and wrote a branch manager's checklist, which was used company-wide as a daily to-do list for branch managers. Selected as a District Manager Mentor for a training program which helps develop newly promoted district managers, as they develop strategies for leading a team through change and to achieve the results.
Promoted 5 new branch managers in my district in the last 9 months. Coached several of these managers to the top spots in the division in their short time as BMs. Developed daily action plans to help them lead their new teams.
