Ed was a graduate of Denver University, and moved his young family to Laramie to form his own business.

Ed's son, Gregg, joined the firm in 1962 after graduating from the University of Wyoming with his degree in Business Administration.
As the real estate and lending market changed, so did Laramie Investment Company, focusing the business only within the insurance market, since 1982.
