Mitten Select Real Estate and Insurance was formed from several small agencies that date back to the early 1900's. The current owner Michael Steward purchased the agency in 1981 and has grown it since continually improving service offerings and striving for excellent customer service. The small town agency located in downtown Worthington, Indiana gives customers the small town service that cannot be found at the big agencies while giving you the same level of protection and service.

The last two (2) being the Hines & Son Agency and the Mitten Agency.
Both businesses were located next to each other for years on North Washington Street until current owner Michael Steward entered the Insurance business in 1981and purchased the Mitten Agency.
In 1985 Real Estate sales was added to the office.
In 1995 the Hines & Son Agency was purchased and a new company was formed, Select Insurance Services, Inc.
