To be eligible for SHOP coverage in Georgia the employer must meet the following guidelines.
An HSA is a Health Savings Account, which is simply a bank account that you make tax free deposits into to fund the account then you use these funds to pay for qualified medical expenses.

With an HSA any contributions are not subject to federal or state taxes, and as long as you use the funds to pay for qualified medical expenses you will never pay any taxes on the distributions.
