An HMO is a type of health insurance plan that requires you to select a family doctor, often called a Primary Care Physician or PCP.

PPO stands for preferred provider organization.
A PPO is a type of health plan that allows members to see providers in and out of the network.

Medicare Advantage plans are a type of Medicare health plan offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare to provide you with all your Part A and Part B benefits.
Medicare Advantage Plans include HMO's, PPO's, PFFS, Special Needs Plans, and Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans.
If you're enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan, most Medicare services are covered through the plan and aren't paid for under Original Medicare.
With Aetna's Bronze level Pennsylvania plans, the plan will pay about 60 percent of covered health care costs.
Bronze plans will offer lower monthly premiums, but have higher out-of-pocket costs for deductibles, copayments and coinsurance for covered health care services.
With Aetna's Silver level Pennsylvania plans, the plan will pay about 70 percent of covered health care costs.

Medicare Part A is a type of hospital insurance provided by Medicare.
The coverage provided by Part A includes inpatient care in hospitals, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, and critical access hospitals.
Part A does not include long-term or custodial care.
