She was born in Saint Bonifacius, MN and has lived in Waconia for over 50 years.

Bernie graduated from the College of St. Catherine and received her C.I.C. (Certified Insurance Consultant) designation in 1979.
She also attends continuing education opportunities to maintain current designation.
