David C. Nagengast was raised in the GM blue-collar town of Flint, Michigan, and became licensed to sell insurance in 1978. In 1992 Dave founded Nagengast &Associates. The firm's exponential growth was in part due toDavid's credibility with both union leadership and corporate management as a result of the solid work ethic and integrity taught to him by his father and reinforced by the enthusiasm and customer dedication shown by his committed staff.

The exponential growth of new customers coupled with additional product lines, demanded a name change that was more reflective of the company and its vision. From this Lifestyle Benefits was born.
