It seems like I have been in the insurance industry since I was a kid.
In 1980, I remember stuffing envelopes for my Dad's new American Family Insurance Agency.
I am a third generation of insurance agents, beginning with my grandfather, Ed, who sold life insurance exclusively for MetLife from 1951 to 1979, followed by my father, Doug, who operated his American Family Insurance agency from 1980 to 2005.
In 2005, we decided to leave American Family Insurance and start over as an independent agency.
