In the fall of 1984 he left Henderson to attend Eastern Kentucky University.
In the spring of 1986 Nibby graduated from EKU with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in insurance and a minor in computer information systems.
While at EKU, he was a member of the Gamma Iota Sigma honorary fraternity.
Nibby worked in both the insurance and the computer business until the spring 1993 when he sold his interest in The Computery to his partner.
Nibby is known nationally for his insurance agency automation consulting work with the AGENA Corporation (now known as Vertafore) and National Users of AGENA Systems.
