Family owned and operated, Schwegman Insurance was founded in 1976 by Jerry Schwegman who has always had a passion for helping people solve financial problems. Jerry's son, Doug, was brought into the family business in 1981. He is the current owner and operator, upon Jerry's retirement in 1999. We are a family business dedicated to helping our clients choose the best insurance plan to fit their needs.
We will ensure clients know and understand their benefits before leaving our office. We work with a variety of insurance companies including: Blue Cross Blue Sheild, Community Care, United Health, Mutual of Omaha, Colonial life, Delta Dental and more. After high school, I attended Oklahoma State University and like most young adults, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life.
After much contemplation my father suggested I consider the insurance business and I accepted.
Dad gave me an office, a telephone, a telephone directory and a manager.
He wasn't about to train me or give me clients, I was an Independent business owner on straight commissions!
I can't count how many rejections I received every day; but being the determined, hard-worker that I am, I never gave up.

To be eligible for a tax credit, the Marketplace will look at the previous year's tax returns and will then determine if they are eligible; and if so, how big of a credit they will receive.
