The L.N. Davis Insurance Agency was founded in 1933 by Mr. Lawson Newton Davis. We are a fourth generation family owned independent insurance agency and we are here to serve most any insurance need you may require. Kathy Lance, agency owner, was the first female president in the (then) 123 year existence of the Independent Insurance Agents of NC (IIANC) and her father, Mr. Paul L. Davis, was also president in 1956 when she was three years old.
We are pleased to announce that Merritt Lance Tongen, daughter of Kathy and Gary, has joined the agency with seven years insurance experience and is continuing the family legacy. We are a full service insurance agency providing insurance for personal, commercial, and life insurance coverage needs. We take great pride in the level of automation we employ in order to handle insurance transactions as quickly as possible.
Our staff has a knowledge level of over 65 combined years of professional experience and we participate in yearly continuing education training classes in order to better evaluate the risks our customers face in today's legal environment.

As a business owner, you need the same kinds of insurance coverages for the car you use in your business as you do for a car used for personal travel -- liability, collision and comprehensive, medical payments (known as personal injury protection in some states) and coverage for uninsured motorists.
In fact, many business people use the same vehicle for both business and pleasure.
If the vehicle is owned by the business, make sure the name of the business appears on the policy as the "principal insured" rather than your name.

There are many kinds of life insurance, but they generally fall into two categories: term insurance and permanent insurance.
Term insurance is designed to meet temporary needs.
It provides protection for a specific period of time (the "term") and generally pays a benefit only if you die during the term.
This type of insurance often makes sense when you have a need for coverage that will disappear at a specific point in time.
For instance, you may decide that you only need coverage until your children graduate from college or a particular debt is paid off, such as your mortgage.

Liability coverage pays for your legal responsibility to others for bodily injury or property damage.
Medical coverage pays for the cost of treating injuries, rehabilitation and sometimes lost wages and funeral expenses.
An auto insurance policy is comprised of six different kinds of coverage.

Recreational vehicles do more than just carry you from one place to another; they transport you with an eye toward maximum fun and/or comfort along the way.
Just because some of these vehicles are associated with playtime, that doesn't mean they don't need the same insurance protection as any other piece of expensive property you own.
In fact, they may need more insurance since they also create a potential for liabilities.
Your recreational vehicle is, just like an automobile, a moving vehicle that can cause bodily injury and property damage to others.

Because everyone's needs are not the same, it is best to consult your agent to help assess your needs and find the insurance policy that is right for you.
