Griffey went into the insurance business by opening an office on Thompson Ave. in downtown Excelsior Springs. Doubtless, he never dreamed that 100 years later, and less than 200 feet from his original location, Griffey Insurance would still be rendering the same services to some of the same families he established as clients in 1921.

Bill began working at the insurance agency in August of 2016.
A graduate of Excelsior Springs High School, he spent a year at KU and began training for becoming an insurance consultant.
He is managing Auto and Health insurance premiums with a property and casualty license.
Very soon he will be licensed to write Life and Health insurance coverage for clients, as well.
The young bachelor is moving quickly on the business scene, citing being highly motivated as one of his strengths.
He stays active playing basketball, working out and lifting weights when not in the office.
